Is there a way to stop the battery charging from the grid?

Hi Everyone,

I’ve gone through the settings and can’t find a way to stop the battery from charging off the grid. A bit annoying because our solar panels are generating way more than we’re using!

Check your settings and make sure that AC Charge Enable is turned OFF.

Thanks! I can’t see that setting. Although I only have cloud settings. Do I need to set up direct control? For some reason this stopped working when givenergy hardware went under :/

If you set eco mode then you should only charge from the grid if you have a charge window enabled. Outside charge windows you will charge from excess solar but not the grid

Hi, if you are not subscibing to the paid version of the GivEnergy app and web portal you can still use all the settings. In the app select the three horizontal lines , top left on the Home Dashboard. Then select Direct Control (you do not need to set this up) and it will read your current settings. Scroll down a little way and you will see the AC Charge Enable option.
