New home owner inheriting existing GivEnergy system

As title suggests, I am a new home owner inheriting an existing GivEnergy system. I have configured the inverter to the new Wi-Fi connection but i can’t find the inverter in the app. From what i’ve read I need to have the inverter transferred to my GivEnergy account. I have two problems with that, one I cant seem to be able to create an account and secondly is there even a way of having it transferred given current situation?

any help would be great, I am abit stuck!!

I asked GivEnergy software this question.
This is their response
"We’re aware that this is something that was previously handled by the support team, and with them no longer being available you are right and we should build out a way to do this self-service in the software. We’ll work on this in a future update.

In the meantime, we can suggest that you work with your buyer to simply update the details in your account settings to theirs (that is, change the name and contact details). You can then change your password to something temporary, and provide them with the password. They would then be able to log in, and change the password so you wouldn’t be able to access it.

While this is not a very elegant solution, it should solve your problem in the short term. "

If you know who the installers were and they are still trading, they may be able to help.

There are also two businesses that have been formed from ex GivEnergy staff that may be able to help. One is Predsupport Predictive Support — GivEnergy Expert Help and the other Special Battery Services Special Battery Services — Home Battery Storage Support, Diagnostics & Repairs

These may be able to help for a fee.
