I had to pay my DNO for the G99 process - the existing G99 likely would have been sufficient anyway, given that the 7.36kW remained for export limitation. However, it did allow me to ensure that I had approval for up to 11.6 kW of inverter capacity instead of the previous 5kW installation. No issues seen in the 5-6 weeks since completing the install, and I’m up over half a MW on where I’d have been otherwise.

Hi if you are not willing to penetrate the roof on the garage you can purchase 6 meter unistrut channel from any electrical wholesaler to span and sit on a garage roof and bracket to the external walls

Your solar rail can then bolt down on to this with Zeb’s kind of spring loaded nuts that fit in the channels
There are also 300mm unistrut cantilever brackets that you can utilise to get the pitch
