One evening my battery was at over 80% charge and the whole charge dumped to 0. And then charged up completely overnight, as it is scheduled to do.
But does anyone know why it would rapidly lose all its charge? And how can I prevent that happening?
I have had the same thing - my 9.5kW discharged completely in 1 hour. No idea why. Never had this happen before. Checked EV charger but that is definitely on scheduled charge overnight.
My battery system completely discharged at 11:45 on Sunday 10th Aug and was flat by 15:00. Checked settings and found Dicharge had been switched on and Charge settings altered.
I reset these and waited for nighttime cheap rate to come. This worked OK then when complete (05:30), sytem again went to Discharge. Had to again switch Discharge OFF in settings.
Next day, on checking settings, noted all had changed slightly to correct settings, I presume by Givenergy team who had realised by then something had gone wrong. Anybody else had similar?[quote=“vechamberlain, post:1, topic:4028, full:true”]

Have you checked the remote control history log? This should show details of the settings being changed and by who.

Looking at my remote control history, the latest log is from 20/6/25 and it all relates to the EV charger inverter control. Oddly nothing more recent than that though I have used my EV charger since.
The full discharge happened 5/8.
This happened to me 3 or 4 times, all late evening or overnight. Contacted GE & my installer, and the first thing they tried was a battery recalibration - force export the battery down to 4% & then fully charge it. After that, one night it went rapidly from 96% to 49%. GE changed settings so it now exports down to 4% overnight (15p, thank you OE!) & charges up again to 100% before peak rates kick in.
I wouldn’t have minded so much if the system had been exporting, despite the settings, rather than just dumping it!
