3 phase inverter tripped RCD after battery firmware updated

All has been running exceptionally well since installation in June of a 10kW 3 phase inverter and 3 batteries.

Yesterday I noticed that the battery firmware needed an update to v7, from v4. I scheduled it to happen at 00:30.

This morning we woke up to find the power was off. The breaker for the 3 phase inverter had tripped so it was off and the circuits supplied from the inverter were off.

No damage done to anything and easily fixed, but I’m curious to know why the inverter might cause the 3 phase RCD supplying it to trip?

Should such firmware updates always be supervised? If so I wonder why they provide an option to schedule a time?
