Adding a battery if inverter breaks

Here is a question if you have say 2 inverters and 2 battery if an inverter fails how in the future can the battery be connected to the other inverter to make 1 inverter 2 battery setup. With out support how could you add the battery to the inverter ..
How would we ba able to do this or will the inverter and battery become a brick .

You simply plug the secondary battery in to the primary and set the DIP switches in the second battery to indicate it is number two.

The portal is not needed for this, the battery will just work fine

But give energy have to connect the battery to another inverter on there side so the inverter sees another battery.
I am sure if you set the dip switch to slave and connect to another inverter it will not see it in its software I hope I am wrong..
but could be problem in future if you can not just add another battery to a inverter set dip switch to skate and just work ??

Andy

No, you are wrong, the inverter sees the battery and it all works fine. I have done this myself.

The commissioning process to register the battery with the portal is principally for warranty purposes, it doesn’t make the battery work with the inverter, that is automatic.

Of course warranty is a moot point now.

Thanks so much good to know for future was told by giv engineer that just connecting a extra battery to an inverter with a battery on it had to be configured by giv for the inverter to see it and you it .
Thanks
