I currently have a single AC coupled inverter with two 9.5kWh batteries and solar PV. I’m considering adding a second inverter and EMS, along with an additional battery.
My current installation includes a CT & meter for the grid supply and a CT for the solar generation.
Would the installation of the second inverter and EMS simply use the existing grid meter and solar CT or would anything additional be required?
When configuring things liked timed charge slots, can both inverters be configured together or is it necessary to configure them separately?

my understanding is that the EMS sits at the head of the queue so takes over the CT connections. The inverters then have a special firmware loaded and they become dumb devices, responding to the EMS instructions.
The EMS presents the inverters as a single device, you control the EMS and it controls the inverters. You can’t control the inverters individually any more. One advantage is that the EMS has more charge/discharge slots than your AC3, but the process of sending commands via the EMS means a delay to things like the inverter starting to discharge when you turn on load (e.g. the kettle), so you’ll get more grid import as a result. Also the EMS uses charge to run itself.
