APP has updated now none of my details work

Give energy App updated yesterday ,
I now cant Login as my username and passwords no longer work , and when i try to reset GIVE ENERGY wont recognise my emails either , Called customer services but its just an AI and no response ?? what can i do???

Hmm no replies and Give energy Customer services still not calling me back after 3 days , I cant access my system at all …

The App on my samsung phone stopped last week. Wasn’t too bothered, and this morning its stopped working on my Samsung tablet. So i deleted the App and reinstalled it. Opening it up it just stays at the opening graffic with the pulsating going around the box. I don’t even get to the ā€œgetting things readyā€ caption. So I’ve logged in via the cloud to see whats going on.

Im not on social media, and this forum is my problem solving/education method. Hopefully someone will chip in.

I’ve rung the givenergy helpline (01377 252874) and selected option 2. This put me on to an AI chat that recommended restarting the device and, if unsuccessful, go into settings/Apps/storage and delete the cache and then the data. Open the app again which takes you to the Givenergy login and below that the SSO login. Going in via the SSO login and the App appeared with all the familiar data and works fine now. This is for both the Samsung phone & tablet.

SSO does not work for me as i have been a customer for 2 years

3 weeks now still not resolved have emailed Give Energy 9 times , phoend them 7 times, all i get is a Robot AI taking my details and assuring me they will get back to me within 72 hours ??? They also send me automated emails with a Case number but nothing else , no reply no solution I cant Login to my system at all the username does not work nor the passwords, reset does not work either ..

I am now very very angry ,3 weeks ??? FFS I need to speak with a human I need them to answer me …

givenergy support is very overloaded. when you do eventually get to talk to someone they are usually pretty good at resolving your issue, but it can take several weeks to get through the queue, and there isn’t much you can do but wait

what if it was a MAJOR BREAKDOWN that was urgent , how would i get help then???

You would join the same queue as everyone else. Sorry to say there are people with failed systems that have been waiting weeks for a support response. Have a look at other threads on this forum.

None of us are paying for a support and maintenance service or any kind of priority, so it is what is sorry to say.

Your issue about not being able to login doesn’t stop you controlling your inverter, there are other ways, either the ā€˜bbc basic’ inverter app for iOS or Android or the ā€˜RubikCube’ Android app, or Home Assistant

Your answer is so stupid , Customer service and repairs are part of the warranty and also underpin sales , A company that does not provide timely service , will not get future business , Give Energy are appalling … I have actually managed to get help from another online forum and now i have my system working again , But no thanks to GIVE ENERGY and i will not reccomend them to anyone else in future …

Do tell @jerryz what the problem was and the solution so others may be wiser. I am sure your system will give you years of service.
