With the news that there will be a subscription to access the Cloud services shortly, I am assuming that my Giv Smart plugs are becoming dumb plugs without paying (since turning them on and off ‘remotely’ from inside the house seems superfluous. I have not set up my Home Assistant yet, so I wondered if anyone with it set up can confirm if the smart plugs are addressable in it?

How are they controlled within home assistant? GivTCP does not appear to find them
The smart plugs are just rebadged Tuya devices (confirmed by Givenergy software).
You can use one of the Tuya cloud apps on your phone. Add Tuya cloud to your home assistant or even go with Tuya Local for complete offline control
