Gen 2 3.5 inverter firmware updated 30th Nov
Givenergy 9.5kwh battery firmware version 3015 (could I update this )

Thank you

Jim

Reboot the inverter via the console. tha battery size should sort itself out after a reboot. You can do this on the remote control icon on the inverter card. Top right icons

Thank you mate

I have done this several times but it’s not working

Tried to do a firmware update too it all keeps failing

Thank you anyway

Jim

You could try the GivEnergy Owners group on Facebook. There are quite a few helpful people there. It is also monitored occassionaly by GivEnergy staff.

I am going to call them again tomorrow. Morning
I am sure if they could see the issue they could sort it quite quickly

It’s just getting through tongue right people seems to be the probity

How old is the system? Will your installer take a look? I suggest holding fire on a firmware update while the system shows as offline.

Any changes to your internet? Have you tried connecting directly to the dongle? Have you tried powering down the entire system? Inverter Shutdown Procedure – The Unofficial Givenergy Wiki

good morning darknite1

my system is just 2 years old not had any issues before

we had a internet upgrade on the 24th ,but the system was already down ,this was what brought it to my attention the inverter was working but the batteries were off ,looking back It went down on the 15th Nov before the internet install

I have powered down the system but not made any difference

I spoke with the installer who said they need GE to contact them after they have looked at it to pass them the ticket ,will be chasing GE again this morning

Spoke to GE this morning and was able to explain the issue basically the battery was so flat ,it needed a jump start ,which Dan from GE did and then called me with an update , all going well ,batteries got to 80 % then it all stopped again with a red light on the inverter on the portal got home from work and a it had tripped the battery switch in the fuse box ,reset and its all working again ,just need to understand why it tripped will be speaking with them tomorrow appreciate the responses from you guys ,it was helpful and informative

If the breaker keeps tripping, there could be a wire not seated right, causing heat

Thank you mate

Going to monitor it closely for the next couple of weeks and see how it performs.
