Battery 5.2 switched itself off

Following several days of very low solar power, I found the battery completely switched off - no LED lights showing at all. Inverter working and dongle steady. Today we have strong solar but still no charging. I switched the battery on via the side panel button. Now the LED lights are on it is charging as confirmed by the monitoring platform. Just for reference the battery is indoors.

My question is:
Under what conditions will the battery be switched off?
Is this controlled by the inverter or the battery?

the battery can shut itself down if the power level gets too low, but this is rare

if you look in the portal, do you see any notifications?

do you have any discharging programming that might have caused the battery to exhaust itself?

normally if the battery gets empty it just sits on idle and you import from the grid

not a cold related problem

Thank you geoffrey for your response.

There are no recent notifications - the last one was 3 weeks ago - Inverter Time Sync succeeded.

Regarding discharging programming, I have never changed any settings since the system was installed in Sept 2021. Most settings are disabled.

The Battery Options show:
Reserve 4% , Useable 96%

I am used to the battery going low and idling with just two LED showing.

Are there any other system settings that I need to be aware of regarding this event?

It would be useful to know which system is responsible for switching off the battery.

no, there isn’t any kind of auto-off settings. In the portal can you look at the SoC history at the time it was discharging, to going off, to then when you turned it back on. What was the SoC when it came back on?

I think its the battery that turned itself off, but without any notifications its hard to know why.

Keep an eye on it and see if it reoccurs which might indicate a hardware fault. Hopefully not

According to the battery charge/discharge graphs:
SoC=0 from 23:00 14th to 13:00 17th Nov 2025.

At switch on SoC = -1275 W

I will certainly keep an eye on it now!
