Battery Pause Discharge - Any Issues?

I’m considering pausing my battery from discharging using the API (ID:73) setting to 0 using OpenHAB automation. I can state why I’m doing this if needed, but don’t feel its relevant.

I might need to pause the battery from discharging for several hours, but it will typically be at 100% when I pause it.

Are there any issues in leaving the battery paused for long periods (only discharging, no more than 5/6 hours per day I would say).

I’ve had an issue in the past whereby I paused the battery from both charge & discharge whilst at 4%, and they died as they could not charge from the grid as needed - I won’t be doing that again (ever). They then needed to be charged manually by the installer to bring them back to life.

The reason I ask is I have conflicting information online as to whether or not this is a good thing to do.

If you pause discharge and you have insufficient (or no) solar, then house load will be taken from grid at whatever the current rate is.

Thanks WillyReckit for the response.

I’m aware that will happen - more concerned if there are any issues with keeping the battery paused from discharging for a long period of time.
