I have a Gen1 Hy5.0 and 9.5 battery. Last week with talk of power cuts I have set battery reserve at 40%. After 00:30 to 07:30 off peak charge the battery slowly runs down during the day to 40% and then the grid is used (all good), but at 16:30 everyday for the last week the battery starts discharging again. I have checked, double checked and checked again all settings and re-entered and saved them. Nothing comes up in the remote control history to turn on DC discharge at 16:30. I am NOT on any smart tariff. I am not running any 3rd party control apps. I have not used GivEnergy smart tariff. I have checked inverter time etc. Any ideas please?
Thanks
I have a firmware update for the old Gen1 for reserve being ignored.
I will have it loaded fro you
Fantastic news. Thanks. Do i need to do anything?
no, just report back once you are happy.
Have you raised a formal tiket with the servcie desk? SO i can close that, save duplication of effort
Sorry no. I did not get that far.
I have just praised you again on the other forum where I raised the question for your rapid response
What changes do i need to look for to know it has happened?
that place
its done
i set a reserve of 75% (Current 70%)
it stopped discharge as expected.

16:30 has come and gone and battery still holding 40% and grid import is supporting house load.
Looks like the Dragon’s firmware update has fixed things. Brilliant
All working great thanks to the Dragon!
