I’ve got two 5.2kwh batteries, the primary works fine. Second battery has stopped charging. It’s now completely flat. Using Predbat found that temp sensor on cell 4 was reading 6500 degrees celsius (!) which coincided with the battery not charging. Givenergy tried charging it remotely but no joy. They basically need to pay my installer to come out and do a manual charge but customer support now gone quiet…Any help gratefully received
If the temp sensor was reading a crazy value then getting the battery charged doesn’t sound like it will resolve that problem. Seems more like the battery needs to be replaced under warranty?
I agree, need to get some charge in it to show them the fault but getting them to do anything is easier said then done. First contacted them back in October…
I’ve heard that there are some givenergy staff on the facebook group, have you tried there?
If the temp sensor is reading 65535 then the BMS should be replaced
Thats not an installer task
