GIV-HY3.6 / 5.12 kWh Gen 3 — recurring BMS Communication Failure, BMS read returns 0
I have a GIV-HY3.6 hybrid inverter with one 5.12 kWh Gen 3 battery. The portal reports inverter firmware D0.318-A0.318 and battery firmware 4009.
From 13–18 September I have repeated “BMS Communication Failure” events. In Remote Control History, the Master Battery Firmware Version had a previous value of 4009 but a read response of 0 during the fault. The latest logged fault has no clear time shown.
The last portal firmware update was 1 April, so I am trying to determine whether this is a CAN/comms connection, BMS-board, DC isolator/breaker, or firmware issue. Has anyone with this D318/4009 combination seen the same pattern, and what did an engineer find/fix?
I have not reflashed firmware or opened the battery… how can i resolve this please and get my system running thanks
