Why does GivEnergy avoid and talk about compensation when the installation has failed.
More data needed.
If the ‘installation’ has failed, it’s down to the installer.
If the inverter or battery has failed, it’s still down to the installer , but they can make a claim against GivEnergy.
If it’s poor service, they’ve been going through a torrid/horrific time internally since Autumn last year and I don’t know if they’re out of it yet.
In my view it’s not down to the installer. They did a great professional job. Also my installer has pulled away from GivEnergy. This was down to equipment battery failure due to firmware failure. The system failed in Jan 25 and I finally got it sorted in Jul 25. That’s 6 months of no solar power. Under the consumer act and warrentee i want recompense for down time.
I am not sure you can get much (any) compensation for something that you might (or might not have received). What if the summer was really cloudy and you were using lots of electricity to wash dishes. They might give you some sort of “gratuity” payment, but I doubt they will want to set a precedent
