Why is it when I run the Giv Energy Portal on two computers and the Android app I get conflicting figures? I see the simulations and read the stats but the all differ so which do I believe? Am I exporting, Am I importing, what is the correct load figure. Does anyone else experience this. Are the figures just a guess by GivEnergy?
You should see the same information in the portal and the givenergy app (assuming you are referring to the official givenergy app on Android) as they are looking at the same portal data.
Bear in mind that the portal and app (in away mode) is just a snapshot every 5 minutes, so it won’t be 100% up to date with what is happening right now. If you use the givenergy app in local mode then you get snapshots every 10 seconds, and the ‘BBC’ givenergy app and Rubikcube Android app also do their own 10 second snapshots.
I have exactly the same problem, figures on the portal are significantly different to the app, even days later…
I have downloaded the data from the API and it’s the same there too, every place I look the figures are different?
I understand this but with the android app I am getting home view but the stats still don’t match the portal on my iMac or MacBook. Just I don’t expect stat lag lol.
There is also a discrepancy within the portal figures themselves. Figures from the monthly reports no longer agree with daily data available for download from the energy graph module. This is a known issue, being investigated by TPTB.

Yep i am the same. Web portal gives different data to the App. I even get this when looking at historic monthly data.
