Download usage data

Hi

I am new to community. I need to be able to download usage data by half hour for each mode to .csv or excel. I have looked on app and portal and cannot find menu option.

Octopus are saying that the smart meter has not sent readings and i wish to have my own source of data from Givenergy. I want to download one year of data. Alernative from March when we went onto flux tarriff.

If i load smart tarriff info will this give menthe option to download.

Regards

Debbie

The app is OK for an overview but for anything serious you need the portal.

If you go to the My Inverters tab you should see an Actions column. The grid icon takes you to the inverter data, and for your purposes you probably need the meter data, which can be downloaded as CSV. However, this is presented at 30s intervals day by day, so it would be a slow process to gather several months worth, even if it goes back that far.

I sympathise with your Octopus problems, having had my own smart meter issues with them. In my case, the meter had not been commissioned properly when installed, but they assumed that it was a network problem outside their control. These are not uncommon. Have you asked Octopus to investigate?

I doubt that they will bill from your GE data. I ended up going to OFGEM, at which point they took my complaint seriously, and got it fixed.

Good luck.

From the portal, My Inverter on left, then click the “square grid” top right inverter data choose a date, then click download. This will only do 1 day at a time. I have been doing this each day as I am in dispute with my supplier. If you want just your smart meter data as saved by the DCC (Data Communications Company) go to n3rgy.com or Glowmarkt

Thank you. If Octupus dont have the smart meter data will this show on the DCC. Thank for such a helpful reply

Thank you for such good information. I will try when i am next at a computer rather than my mobile

The DCC collects from your smart meter. Octopus collect from DCC, so worth a try from DCC - n3rgy is easiest to try. You just need your smart meter MPAN (from bill or actual meter) and MAC address from smart meter In house Display (on label on rear).

Excellent. Thanks.
