EV Charger hard wired RJ45

Everything works great, but how do I stop EV Charger searching for WiFi. I’ve turned of the blue flashing lights, but I know it’s still wrong. EVC is hard wired to switch, as is Inverter, switch hard wired to router. Can I go back to factory settings and start again telling the EVC that it’s hard wired, and stop looking for WiFi.

As far as I can work out, once setup for wired LAN the EVC will use the Ethernet port but the wireless connection remains open (two IP addresses register as active on your hub/router). Each time I’ve tried to disable the Wi-Fi connection I’ve ended up having to factory reset and start over.

From working with my installer who was struggling to set up my LAN connection it seems the WiFi/Ethernet selection may be controlled by DIP switches. He had to call engineer support as seemingly they were set incorrectly.

Worth investigating?

How did you switch off the flashing light? As far as I can make out the flashing light means “not connected to Wi-Fi “ so, if connected via hardwire lan only, the light continues to flash even though the unit is connected to cloud and working. It would make more sense if flashing light meant “not connected to internet” but for some reason its been coded up to represent state of Wi-Fi connection only, regardless of Ethernet port.

That would make sense really. I do work with Dip Switches when setting up garage door controllers. Without knowing where they are, or the correct sequence, I’ll just pause on that. Thanks

There is a setting for switching off the EV Charger lights in the web portal, but that just removes the annoyance without solving the problem. Have tried a re start charger, that did nothing. Have switched off the breaker at the consumer unit for a long while, then back on, that did nothing. Just done a full factory reset, where it asks if on LAN, and that didn’t work. Everything is up to date, but no success.

As you’ve suggested, I’ve now tried the Factory Reset. It’s all working, but the dreaded blue flashing lights are back. It does ask if it’s LAN Ethernet in the set up. Still insisting that it needs to search for WiFi.
Thanks
