EV Charger wired to AIO Giv Gateway

I have an AIO with the Giv-gateway in operation. I have a Givenergy EV charger unit which is not yet wired in. If I want to replace my existing Zappi charger with the Givenergy unit should I simply swap them or is it important to connect the power cable to the EV connection position in the AIO Giv-Gateway?

Hi yah, I have a GW, 2 x AIO and EVC.

Yes I would wire it into the EV slot in the GW as this would then work better with your AIO and not drain them to the EVC, via the GE ecosystem. It he can also just swap it with the zappi, where ever that was installed.

I would also recommend using RCBO and a GEM120CTM

Here are the before and after photos, I had all the CRD’s taken out and replaced with RCBO’s to stop any tripping on the future and when the grid goes down.
