I’ve just got a 5kW Gen 3 Hybrid and a 9.5kWh (LV i think) battery system served by 6.75kW of solar panels.

The GE Website shows the Software version as D0.316-A0.316 and the Dongle Firmware as 403.

When i look at the GE Resources page for the Gen 3 LV Hybrid, I can get a Download with the filename D318-A318-26-Aug-2025.

I assume my Inverter Software is 2 versions out of date, so why am I not seeing an update button in the GE portal and should I do a manual update?

the version numbers get skipped often, version 319 might have been beta tested and found to have issues so its never been published.

You can do a manual install of the firmware you found on the installer site, you’ll have to download the firmware yourself onto your inverter dongle. The fact that you are not seeing the version on the portal suggests that it’s not been pushed out to everyone yet so you can either stay with what you have or upgrade to the latest. Its always worth being on the latest version, but if there isn’t fixes for something you need, no harm to remain on the latest mass rollout version
