Givenergy AIO Gateway Wifi hard reset

I have an install of the givenergy aio + gateway. I recently updated my home network and realised that the gateway has dropped off the network. It was previously attached via wifi but has not come back online. I have the same SSID and password as my old network, it is on its own AP, which provides only 2.4Ghz, WPA2 and all other settings I know of are the same. The AIO wifi has reconnected, so I am pretty sure I have things set up identically.
What I have been searching for is a hard reset button similar to the one in the right hand side service panel of the aio unit. I have looked over various documents on the givenergy site, none of them seem to mention such a thing for the internal wifi of the WK serial gateway. Plenty of info on reset if you can get on the internal AP of if you have a dongle which does have a button under a plastic cap. But nothing for the aio gateway.
Does a hard reset button exist, or is there a slightly more involved process to reset the wifi on one of these units?
Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions you have.

The Gateway hard reset is not a fun button to access.

Is the SSID broadcasting WK2347Gxxx

If so, is it secured?
Try the serial of the Dongle or gateway
try 12345678 or 123456
If it was installed and comissioned using the App, then the password is enrypted and crazy long, but the server can interogate the app to get it

Thanks for the reply. I have the serial number and already tried connecting to it blindly with a bunch of potential passwords. I will have another go with the passwords you suggest, as I tried “admin” and what I would have set it to if I set it (same as the AIO). I don’t think the installer used the app as they set the password for me on the AIO, which is still working.

ahh, so you are saying there IS a button? :folded_hands:

Yes. But its right at the back and not safe to access.

I understand your reluctance to disclose the location of the button for safety reasons. I have taken a look under the hood and certainly see why.
I see where the wifi module is mounted to the PCB. The only thing I can see vaguely button-shaped in the immediate vicinity of the module looks more like a variable potentiometer than a button (i.e. the ‘button’ is tall). Visual inspection is also difficult due to keeping clear of the various hazards.
Shame that said button is not on the rj45 and dipswitch breakout board. As an alternative, if I were to flip the dip switch to enable lan mode, could I access the same ui via the IP then allocated to the gateway and update the wifi config?
I find it hard to believe that such a PCB design flaw can completely prevent recovery

Sure you can use LAN.
RJ45 coupler on the left side. Connect to LAN
Identify the IP issued, connect to it, and hope the installer didnt change the login
