GivEnergy Hybrid 5.0kW Inverter Gen 3 & GivEnergy 9.5kWh Li-Ion Battery Gen 2

My solar PV system was installed last August and in the space of sixteen months I’ve had two replacement inverters and components replaced in my battery.

Rather than a rant about the obvious concern over quality and reliability over the twelve years of the grant payback scheme, I’m wondering if anyone has a solution to the following problem, given the Givenergy aren’t even answering their phones anymore or offering their online chat.

Essentially, my inverter was replaced for a second time and was given the Hybrid 5.0 Gen3 (from Gen2) and although this seems to have fixed the issue with the battery not switching on - it is now essentially “trickle charging” for want of a better word.

The battery went throught the full discharge/recharge cycle after the new inverter was installed, but then fully discharged over a period of around five hours and then sat at 4%

It has now slowly risen to 15% over a period of 36 hours at a charing rate of around 40w and won’t even supply the 14% to my home when there is demand.

All of the inverter settings have been reset to factory default and a full system reset has been carried out, but the problem remains.

Any throughts or support would be greatly welcomed, especially since my Octopus tariff is hitting me at 99.99p per kWh at peak times!

I think i have a similar issue. Istalled in March and ran smoothly till a few weeks ago when the battery failed to charge to 100% between 2-5am. I tried charging it today and it never reached more than 400w. This is unsatisfactory. No-one explained to me that cold weather would affect charging the battery
