I just attempted to change the WIFI SSID for my GivEVC and now cannot get the charger to reconnect to any network…
I used the app to update the Wifi settings and all appeared to be going well until the very last step ‘Waiting for your EV charger to come online’ , i have truied multiple times, including removing the charger from my account and starting ‘fresh’ but every time get the same issue - any ideas on how to troubleshoot / resolve this ?
I can reach the EVSE login page (on the chargers own SSID) but dont have the access password to see the config page
This was taken from ChatGPT, it is roughly what I did a while ago with exactly the same issue, the trick is to get access to it’s wifi and then access it’s configuration web page. Hope this helps.
To configure your GivEnergy EV Charger for network connectivity, follow these steps:
Connecting via WiFi:
Power On the Charger: Ensure the EV charger is powered on.
Access WiFi Hotspot: Within two minutes of powering on, the charger will broadcast a WiFi hotspot (e.g., “EVSE-12345678” (this is the ID on the serial plate on the charger)). Connect your device to this hotspot using the password found on the sticker on the side of the charger (the password is the serial number).
Open Configuration Page: In your device’s web browser, navigate to 192.168.4.1. Log in with the default password 12345678.
Enter WiFi Credentials: Input your home WiFi network’s SSID and password.
Save and Restart: Click “SAVE” to apply the settings, then “RESTART” to reboot the charger. Once restarted, the charger should connect to your home WiFi network.
