hey guys, very new to this givenergy stuff,
i have a gen 3 inverter and battery and i cant seem to get my app to find the inverter, keeps coming up with checking dongle wifi type, and submitting wifi details but never gets any further Help
also comes up with no dongle type found,
Your installer should have left the inverter connected to your wifi
I suggest you login to your router and check if the inverter is connected. It should show as HF-A21 or something similar. If it is connected change the settings to make the IP address reserved. This will make sure it always connects to the same address. You can then go to the Local Monitoring section of the app and scan for the inverter or you can choose the option to search for the inverter manually and insert the IP address. If it isn’t connected to your router I suggest you ask your installer to get it connected and make a note of what he does.
You may need to turn off the 5GHz wifi network to get your inverter to connect to your wifi as it only connects on 2.4GHz.
As others have said your installer should be sorting this out and leaving you with a working system
