How I get my app to find local inverters

I have just reset my dongle after not being able to communicate with the inverter but on th app dashboard I can’t gey it to find local inverters how do I resolve this problem please.

See the dongle connection guide on KB.givenergy.cloud - you need to make sure the dongle is connected to the same WiFi as your mobile phone for local mode monitoring.

Then when that’s done, from the app, go into settings, local monitoring, and save the IP address of the dongle (as seen by your WiFi router) to the settings so it connects quickly each time.

Oh and if you haven’t, reserve the IP address on the WiFi router so the dongle always stays on the same IP address.

I had the same experience. I first satisfied myself that the wifi/router/dongle connection was not at fault, and then reviewed the security features installed on my Samsung S20 mobile. My Norton VPN app proved to be the culprit. The matter was resolved by going to VPN settings, selecting ‘split tunneling’ and isolating the GivEnergy app.
