How to find an approved installer

My original installer has gone into liquidation and I cannot get any help from GivEnergy support.
Does anyone know of one in the Bath Bristol area.
Cheers Ian Mac

You can try Which magazine if you have a subscription - they have several recommend installers

not sure you will, I have tried a load of local solar installers and no one will touch giv kit. How long have you had your kit?

You could try this company The Good Electrical Company Trusted Solar Panel Installers in Bristol

They show installs of GivEnergy kit on their website.

I recently needed to find a local installer. Got no response from support (which is all but non-existent - I’m about to post on this subject). I went to this website to find local MSC approved electricians, then went to their websites to see if they dealt in GE kit.

I used this south wales company: https://www.theelectricalgroup.com/
They rarely use GE now but fitted my G3 battery to my GE system and have approved GE Installer status - they recommissioned my system and hardwired the inverter…fantastic service - highly recommended tell them Andy in New Inn snet you to them

Yes exactly my issue so far everyone I have contacted are not interested, even when I am prepared to pay a day rate.
The battery/inverter causing issues has been in less than a year.

Excellent recomendation - first helpful person I have spoken to in 3 months.
I suspect I will asking them to change the configuation of my system from 2 batteries in parallel controlled by an ems to two batteries in series thru original inverter that is currently working.

The only downside to only using one inverter is your output will be halved. Perhaps you could ask whoever comes out if they could get it replaced and maybe take on support for you. Hope you get something sorted soon.

Norm.

Thanks NormC,
Yes, will arrange for them to try and fix, but if no joy will go to simpler configuration.
Trouble is I will have to pay for this, so question is when does it become no longer cost effective.
I will update this thread with the developments - but will be a few weeks.

You are right of course - the only reason I went to this configuration was to up the discharge rate from just a kettle to a kettle and the toaster.
