I have a GIV-HY5.0 and over the last few weeks it’s not been charging overnight. (23:330-05:30) At first I thought it was something going on with my setting in home assistant. But I have disabled all these and put prebat into monitoring mode as well.
So charges are scheduled completely from the givenergy side. These are also not working. Inverter status is just idle. Even trying to add charge from the play button in the app has no effect. Inverter reboots also have no effect. The only way I’ve managed to get to charge is to force a battery calibration.
Anyone having a similar issue, or know where I would need to look at what is causing this ?
Thanks for the reply. I have had a look through the logs, very few entries recently with a response of “charging”. Lots of entries setting AC charge enabled, and setting times to charge.
I have done a reset to defaults a couple of times.
It goes from being “In operation” to “idle” when it should have switched to charging.
This is occurring more and more, now. Inverter at idle when scheduled to charge. Anyone else having this issue or knows how to fix it? Last night’s battery states and charge settings pictured. Recently installed a new battery firmware, but that has made no difference.
You mention that you have recently done a firmware update. Usually after the update everything is set back to defaults. Even though it looks like you have a charge slot set this may not be what the inverter sees. Try changing the start and end times and save them. Then change them back again. Also turn off the timed charge slot and then turn it on again. I always use the cloud portal to check after an update by refreshing the reading displayed. Usually my time slots have been reset to 00:00. Hope this helps.
