On Friday we lost internet for the whole day after virgin went down. Since then the inverter is showing as LOST on the app and i’m unable to see it in the local monitoring. I have rebooted the router and the GivEnergy inverter. I can log into the web portal of the system via its ip address but can`t see it in the app. The inverter is connected via the lan.
Any ideas on how to get this working again? Thanks
If you can connect to the inverter via its IP and just local monitoring is not working, then this sounds like your router has issued a new IP address to the inverter and you just need to go into settings in the app and tell it to rescan for the inverter IP address.
If you set the inverter to a fixed (reserved) IP address on your router (its device name is HF-21) then this won’t happen again
Hi @geoffrey, thanks for the message. I’ve reserved the IP address for the inverter and also scanned the network for any other HF-21 devices but i still can`t see the inverter via local monitoring or the cloud. I have an installer coming on Wednesday as i think it is something more than the inverter losing its IP address.
