Moved into new house with GivEnergy Battery

Hello,

I have recently moved into a new house with a GivEnergy battery.

GivEnergy will not answer the phone or emails. I have no idea how to set this up as I need to contact them to let them know I am now the new owner.

Any ideas of how best to contact them? Everytime I email, someone says they will respond within 5 days (they dont).

Everytime I ring, it’s an automated AI bot who says they will forward my query on and no one gets back to me.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Harry

Hello Harry.

Do you have any reference numbers? I can go ask the service desk

It may be broadcasting a wifi network which you can use to connect to the router in order to get it online - but hopefully The Dragon can help out

Thank you.

I think this is transferred over to us now. Many thanks.

I have a question about ‘battery schematics’. The previous owner did not leave these and octopus have requested these for our feed in tariff? (I think - I don’t really get it all tbh!)

Do you know who could provide these? Can GE? Thanks, Harry

No, we have no idea how the system is wired up. It maybe standard, it may not.
We would t know where it is connected up in your home or where the generation meters are.

You will need to get these from teh installation company

Thank you very much. Most helpful.

I’ll chase this up!

Best wishes

Harru

Hello,

I wondered if you could help us with our battery and inverter.

It’s been working brilliantly on the smart tariff function, however on the morning of the 16th Feb it started doing a few odd things.

It started discharging to the grid for no apparent reason, and then was being charged during peak hours.

I can’t seem to manually schedule it to charge. I updated the firmware, which hasn’t helped and now it’s stuck on idle at 16%. I’m scratching my head and going to go to sleep! I wondered if you had any ideas?

Many thanks,

Harry

Sorry but thibk I have sorted this.

I didn’t realise you had to switch off the inverters for the solar and the battery.

I’ve just done this and it seems to have sorted it.

Thanks,

Harry
