Multiple Charging Slots on AC3.0 Inverter

Hello,

I previously posted about us moving into a house with an GivEnergy battery and AC3.0 inverter. Good news… it’s up and running!

I’ve just changed to Octopus cosy with the hope of charging the battery during their three off peak charging points, but I have just seen the battery can only be scheduled to charge during one slot?

Is there anyway I can increase this to 3 slots to make the most of Octopus Cosy?

Thanks in advance - this is all a new world to me!

Hi, if you have access to the GivEnergy cloud you can try editting the dashboard and adding the Smart Tariff card. If you set this up I believe it will control your inverter to charge during your cheap slots. I don’t use it myself as I have a Gen 3 inverter with 10 charge and discharge slots.
If you have an old Android phone or tablet that you could leave at home, you could download the Android Inverter app from the Play store. For a one off fee of £10 this will give you control of your inverter and allow you to set up a schedule to charge and discharge when you want. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details…

Thank you so much this is really useful.

Hi. I have 2 AC3 inverters. If you add GivEnergy EMS you get three slots. A bit expensive solution but it’s a possibility.
