Prioritise Inverter to use Battery over PV?

Hi All

I’ve just as of 30/09 had PV (6kw) and GivEnergy Battery (5kw) and Hybrid Inverter (GIV-AC3.0) Installed.

My question is, can GivEnergy prioritise using the battery over the PV for the load from the house?
At the moment Solar PV satisfies the load to the house and as per the settings below, the battery is exporting to the Grid, when the load from the house is satisfied by PV. The only time battery is used is when the load is high but even then the discharge rate is fixed at 380W

my settings are currently as

  1. Eco is off
  2. Charge period is set between 00:00 to 07:00 *charge battery over night due to cheap tariff
  3. Timed Export is set between 07:00 to 23:59
  4. battery options are set to Reserve 5%, Charge Power 2700W and Discharge Power 380W

I do have HA but from what I’ve read that is really useful for doing a full discharge during premium times.

Why would you want to prioritise battery usage, that you’ve paid money for, over the free solar PV energy? Doesn’t make financial sense. Just use and export the solar during the day, then schedule a discharge to empty the battery before the cheap slot.

There is a slider in the app to increase the battery discharge rate.

I think it’s over complicated too, get rid of the timed discharge settings and put the system in eco mode.
