Progress on Undesired and Unnecessary Wifi Networks?

Are there any updates on the wifi networks being created by the GivEnergy AIO and the GivEnergy Gateway despite the DIP switches being set to LAN? I deliberately ran ethernet cables to my garage to ensure a fully reliable connection and avoid unnecessary wifi interference.

However, it appears that the UART wifi modules do not respect these DIP switches and broadcast regardless. It is possible to configure the created wifi networks including securing them as referenced in this KB article but there is no option to disable them to make up for the problem with the DIP switches.

Are there any updates from GivEnergy on patches to make the DIP switches work appropriately? Alternatively an option to disable the wifi networks on the UART interface would allow us to have a workaround. There is the ability for us to update the UART module firmware in the dedicated web interfaces which we could use for this. It is really not acceptable to have no way to disable these unnecessary wifi networks which cause interference, power draw, and present a theoretical security risk.
