Second battery broke system

Hi, I had an all in one and solar installed about 3 months ago. It was all working fine until a second all in one was added to the system last week.
Now the system doesn’t function at all. The battery is constantly consuming 80-100w even though it’s showing as fully charged, grid is zero in and out. If I look at grid data it’s all zeros but the grid meter red led is flashing and its counter is counting.
Like I said everything worked until the second battery, and installer is saying they are waiting for GivEnergy to book an engineer.
They’ve messed about a bit but now the system shows no grid or generation data.

Other weird stuff.
1, The meter first seen date on the portal for the grid meter changed to the day of the new battery install, but the generation meter which was still working at that time had not changed first seen date. Now the generation meter is also not working, or showing data, its first seen date has also changed.
2, logs, all historical logs are missing from the portal

I have similar issues, added the second AOI to my system and there are bugs and discrepancies. I also noticed a deterioration in the functionality of the APP. I cannot locate the time charge and discharge function in the app. And I have no battery usage data in the app, it disappeared. Unfortunately GIV’s customer service is non-existent, I have tried to contact them, its seems they have removed phone access and WhatsApp and email remain unanswered.

Well there goes my idea about putting another AIO in. Great work Giv Energy!

Agreed. I was intending to add another AiO at some point but am put off by the problems others are having.

Sounds more like the installer has not commissioned the second AIO properly, as mine was similar, but took me ages to get them back to sort it (they also had to liaise with GE to support them as they couldn’t figure it on their own).

As for the app issues others are reporting, it’s sadly true, the app still does not yet fully support more than 1 AIO. It’s still “on the list” to address.
It’s fine if you use Home Assistant, as you still have full control over everything via HA, but I appreciate that it’s not for everyone

Did the installer switch the grid bypass switch back off on the gateway? Sounds very similar to the situation I had when the second AIO was installed.

Yes, that’s all good.

The issue is a faulty grid meter not outputting a modbus signal. I am waiting for my installer to sort something out with Giv, apparently they have done fixes before but not been paid when it wasn’t there issue, or something along those lines.
