Solar not being used/consumed during grid outage

We had a schedukled grid outage today and the gateway did its expected thing by disconnecting the grid and running from the batteries. However, I notice that the solar was no longer being consumed by the gateway/AIOs (2 of them). I can see that there was grid voltage being reported by the solar inverter and that the two strings were reporting voltage but both strings dropped to zero amps and the gateway reported zero solar generation. As soon as the grid came back, the solar consumption started again.

Is it a function of the gateway that it islands the grid and also the solar or do I have something set up incorrectly?

The AIOs are running on D0.620-A0.620 and the gateway is on A0.014

When the grid is down, the system cannot export power to the grid. If the batteries are above 80% (or nearly full) and the home load is low, there is nowhere for the solar energy to go. To protect the battery from overcharging, the system forces the solar PV to shut down or curtail generation.
