Have seen daily alerts around the dongle firmware not updating (Automated Maintenance within the inverter logs) on for the past few weeks. Inverter would then show it was in an errored state or offline for several hours after these errors, worth noting it’s still working fine and the Giv portal/app still shows accurate readings for my invertor. Attempted to update this manually following a video tutorial from the official Youtube GivEnergy videos to no avail.
Within this same set of videos the GivInstaller app was recommended to update the WiFi details on the dongle, but it also has an option to update the dongle firmware so decided to give this a shot. This appears to have worked, it went through all the steps, stated firmware was updated but it then went on to ‘Securing Network’ before finishing. Since this process, the WiFi hotspot for the invertor is requesting a code or passphrase that I don’t have any record of. I tried my usual Wifi passcode, the serial number for the inverter and lastly the serial number for the WiFi/dongle…no luck.
Am I missing something obvious here or am I expected to physically reset the internal dongle so that it’s unsecured again?
