Gateway 2 network connected to the home WIFI network and has access to the internet but not visible on the Givenergy portal

Upon commissioning a new PV system in our home to add the Gateway (GIV-AIO-GW2) upstream of both a 1st Gen 5KW hybrid inverter with an associated 8.2kw battery & an AIO2 inverter with a 13.5kw battery, I can see the status of both inverters’ is NORMAL on the portal but not the gateway is LOST.

Initially, I thought the WIFI network was not correctly logged within the Gateway WIFI router. However, after finding the login password, I can now connect into the WIFI gateway router and confirm that the Gateway is now on the home WIFI network, but it is still LOST on the portal. As I didn’t commission the system, I cannot log in to the Commissioning App, so I cannot connect it via the Commissioning App.

Is there something I can do to connect the Gateway to the portal?

Hi yah, as the GW is in the portal under your account, it indicates it’s been commissioned, but is not getting through to the cloud.

  1. Can you see it connecting in the app on say your iPhone ?
  2. Is the connection on WiFi 2.4 GHz? Turn off 5 GHz.
  3. If you are confident can you turn off/turn on your system including the GW.
  4. Can you see the GW connected on your network

Have a look at this post :+1:

It looks like the Gateway is connected to your home Wi-Fi, but the portal showing LOST usually means it isn’t communicating with the givenergy cloud.
Try these checks:
Restart the Gateway and your router to refresh the connection.
Make sure the Wi-Fi signal is stable where the Gateway is installed.
Check that the Gateway serial number is registered correctly on the portal.
If it still shows LOST, you may need the installer or GivEnergy support to link the Gateway through the Commissioning App.

Thanks @alahlee I’ll try givenergy support :+1:

@daveb01, I’ve confirmed the gateway is connected on the WI-FI and restarting the gateway didn’t make any difference, so I’m hoping it’s a commissioning issue and just not connected on the portal :crossed_fingers:

It does not look like your installer did a very good job as the FW/Dongle/BMS has not been updated either.

This is mine
