Inverter offline

I am not able to see in the app or the givenergy cloud system any data about production from solar panels, battery status or data selling to grid. It seems that it lost connection around the 13th Apr, 5 days ago. I have a HY3.6 inverter, that has been working with no problems for the last 2 plus years. The inverter works well, all lights are on the front of the inverter, the battery is also charging and discharging well, from what i see on the kights front of the panel. The dongle has blue flashing light on and seems the be ok, i can access it via the IP address 10.10.100 254. Initially looked like it had lost the wifi network, but even adding it doesnt seem to be talking to the router. Even trying to connect the Givenergy app locally to just the inverter, cannot talk to it. I have updated the dongle with the Givenergy Installer App, but nothing.

Anything else i should try besides what I saw in another post of buying another new dongle?

Have you made any changes to your router?
You may have to reset it and reconnect to the router.
The attached manual explainsWiFi Dongle Connection Guide how to do this.

I had a very similar problem (with very similar symptoms) a few weeks ago. In the end I replaced the dongle and I’m pleased to say it did the trick. I was given some advice by the community about dongle setup (particularly on changing the MSN.txt file on the new dongle) in my post here.

Hope it works for you (if you’re now able to obtain a dongle?).

Thanks David, i went like 30 times over the document on Saturday and I could not connect it. Yesterday I tried again, but this time I added the MAC address to the router as a new device. Not sure if that did it, but has been working for the last 36 hrs or so. Just in case i bought a replacement dongle.
