Hello, I have a GE EV charger and the QR code and WiFi info label has gone from the charger since I last had to set it up. Just changed home broadband and need to set it up again. I’ve connected it via Ethernet, it’s been working reliably for some months.
So although I can see the WiFi access point come up when I reboot, I don’t have the password. Is there a way of setting it up via the Ethernet port, without the app? Or, can GE email me the QR sticker again?

If you send me either the full serial or the EVSE number that broadcasts for 15 mins after power on
Serial is CI2405G490. Can’t be sure if that’s an I or a 1 !

Hi there! When the EVC is new, there’s a QR code printed on the side, in addition to the label which has a serial number. It’s the QR code you need, the serial number doesn’t help. But mine wasn’t there when I next needed it, presumably it’s a paper label or water soluble print or something.
So to find out what the QR code held, I needed Paul Landregan to look it up based on the WiFi ssid that the unit broadcasts for 30 seconds after it’s powered up. I have a feeling there was another way but I can’t remember, I’ll see if I can find out.
I’ve never had a QR code attached to my give energy EV Charger, nor the missing wifi password than I now need to reinstall. Could you also help me?
