Hi folks
My inverter is showing an update !
Its all working well anyone had issues with this update?
itâs generally worth being on the latest firmware because this will contain the latest bug fixes and performance improvements
all firmware goes through a lot of beta testing beforehand so you wonât be the first to try this firmware
of course any upgrade does come with its own risks, so Iâd suggest you donât do the upgrade on a Friday afternoon or weekend in case you need givenergy support to assist you
Ok up date i have a problem with push buttons like fire push buttons!
Any way i pushed the update it got on 88%
No problem and looked like it stuck!
I was going into full Andrew mode un plug etc, but it seams it reset on its own
the update can sometimes take a while to complete.
Once the firmware is updated you will need to reprogram any charge, discharge and Eco mode settings you had as they will probably be lost. Best to set them to something wrong, then set them correctly to ensure the correct details are written to the inverter
I have updated the firmware without any issues, but normally you get some âRelease Notesâ to say what has been fixed, the last firmware update did have a few issues with it that required me to do a hard reset.
But so far so good
( The issue around the notes for firmware has been mentioned before on here - and the guy who did them has left, so they are looking for another way to do it )
I suffered the same yesterday trying to update my AC3.0 inverter to D0.210-A0.210.
The update also stopped at 88%.
Again no release notes.
Unfortunately, my inverter went offline.
I spent all day trying to get connectivity back and am at least now back of my original software version.
Having got my system back, I wonât be updating âŚ

I seem to have got off lightly it reset its self, all is working ok, i didnt lose any of my setting, the only thing that has gone is the past 7 days tariff amount!
Mine always âslows downâ at 88% too for 10-15mins. âWriting registersâ. That appears normal.
Iâve been on the Beta for 2-3 months and it was good.
If you update firmware and it has works, all is well.
Thanks the GE Update gods and donât worry about it.
If it hasnât worked, that is where problems arise.

Mine also stopped at this stage: 88% and writing registers. An hour later, I realised that my inverter had become offline. Updates are downloaded from GE servers so my system froze.
I spent the rest of the day trying to get my inverter back on line with success finally coming. The update then completed.
So well done â you did better than me.
